How much lip filler do I need?
Can a lip filler procedure go wrong?
This is why choosing a reputable clinic with highly qualified practitioners is essential. Always discuss any concerns with your provider and ensure you fully understand the potential risks before proceeding with the lip filler treatment.
What if I do not like the result?
If you’re still unhappy with the results, we can book you in for a review 1-2 weeks later for further tweaks. We always inform our patients that achieving their goals safely may require a few sessions, as we prioritise a gradual approach to avoid overfilling, which can lead to filler migration that gives that telltale, puffy “duck lips” look.
What should I do prior to a lip filler procedure?
Leading up to the procedure, it’s advisable to avoid blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for a week beforehand to reduce the risk of bruising. Also, abstain from vigorous physical activity or any alcohol intake for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising.
Moreover, if you have a history of cold sores, your provider may recommend taking antiviral medication before and after the procedure to prevent outbreaks. On the day of the appointment, ensure your lips are clean and free of makeup or skincare products. Finally, be sure to follow any pre-procedure instructions provided by your practitioner to ensure a smooth and successful lip filler experience.
