Nose Dermal Fillers (Non-surgical Rhinoplasty)

Non-surgical rhinoplastry are a popular treatment for those who want to achieve a more refined and aesthetically pleasing nose.

A skilled professional can use dermal fillers to improve the contour and shape of the nose, as well as to correct any imperfections. If you are considering this treatment, our team at Amedics can help. We offer dermal filler nose treatments in Leicester and we would be happy to discuss your options with you.

Nose Dermal Fillers

Nose fillers are a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure used to improve the appearance of the nose. They can be used to improve an unfavourable dent or depression in the nasal bone. A straighter nose allows light to bounce off the skin in a more uniform pattern, often giving the illusion of a shorter and smaller nose.

These injectable fillers are made from a variety of materials, but the most commonly used is hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a naturally occurring substance in the body that keeps skin hydrated and plump.

Enhancement Benefits

There are many benefits to having dermal nose fillers compared to the traditional rhinoplasty. They can be used to:

  • Achieve a straighter-looking nose without surgery
  • Improve the appearance of a ‘hooked’ nose
  • Fill in depressions or hollows in the nose
  • Add volume to a thin or flat nose
  • Improve the symmetry of the nose
  • Restructure the shape of the nostrils

Nose fillers can also be used to correct minor imperfections, such as a small bump on the bridge of the nose or a slightly crooked nose tip. In some cases, they can also help improve breathing by restructuring the size shape of the nostrils.

Why nose dermal fillers should be done

As we age, our skin loses collagen and elastin, two proteins that keep skin firm and supple. This loss of protein makes skin more susceptible to wrinkles and sagging. Nose fillers can help to reverse the signs of ageing by replacing lost collagen and elastin. They can also help to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines around the nose, this can help to create a more youthful appearance.

FAQ’s

Face and lip fillers (dermal fillers) are composed of Hyaluronic acid (HA) and are substances that are injected into your face. They can either fill lines and wrinkles or add volume to areas such as your lips or cheeks to give a more youthful look.

Lip fillers are an injectable treatment that is a minimally invasive treatment into the lips, they can add volume and definition to the lips, improve lip symmetry and treat vertical lip lines.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty (also known as liquid rhinoplasty) is an augmentation procedure to the nose that will help to correct nasal bumps and lift the nasal tip. If you have a mild prominent bump of the bridge of your nose, it can camouflage it and smooth the contour of your nose profile. Liquid rhinoplasty won’t be able to give you your desired results if you want your nose to look smaller as it does not change the bone structure.

Tear trough filler is an injectable treatment that’s used under the eyes. Its purpose is to add volume beneath the eyelids, to help smoothen out hollows and shadows, which cause an instant brighter, lighter and more refreshed under eye.

Cheek fillers are injections that help to raise the volume of the area above and around your cheekbones. This provides the illusion of a more defined bone structure. By injecting volume under your skin layer, cheek fillers can also smooth out wrinkles and fine lines.

Dermal filler treatments are undertaken with either a very small fine needle or a blunt cannula. The needles can cause some bleeding to the treatment area. When a blunt cannula is used, it requires only one small introductory point in the skin which is very tolerable. To ease any pain with injections, topical anaesthetic is usually given and most dermal fillers contain anaesthetic within the injection to further help numb the area.

It is normal to experience some swelling, bruising, tenderness and asymmetry, this usually subsided within a few days but can last up to 2 weeks.

We will give you all advice in clinic post treatment. We do advise to avoid touching the treated area, avoid alcohol, exercise, make-up and retinol based creams for 24 hours. We also advise not to expose the area to intense temperatures (sauna, sunbathing) for 48 hours.

This highly depends on the desired outcome from treatment, we only use FDA approved premium brands of filler and the exact ones are always discussed in clinic during a consultation.

Results are seen immediately after treatment and improve over 7 days, they can last anywhere between 9 – 12 months. Subsequent re-treatments will be needed, however it is very likely that less filler will be needed over time.

Our doctors will ensure all side effects are discussed verbally and you will be provided with a written after care information. The most common side effect is bruising and swelling at the site of injection. There can also be some tenderness around the treated area.
